As a suitable accompaniment to the Russian ballet, The Sanderson Centre Foundation sponsored a special display of oil paintings by acclaimed Russian artists on the evening of the December 6th performance. The fourteen stunning pieces drew a great deal of attention before the show and during the intermission. Two particular pieces, both depictions of ballerinas, especially attracted the young aspiring ballerinas in the audience.
These original oils on canvas were acquired by Galerie Russe of Oakville through personal visits with the artists at their St. Petersburg studios.
